Typical application scenarios

Power-on diffusion welding is widely used in high-end manufacturing because of its strong adaptability to heterogeneous composite materials:

• Aerospace ：Connect titanium-based carbon fiber composite material with nickel-based high-temperature alloy (engine combustion chamber component), and use the titanium foil intermediate layer to suppress interface reactions to achieve high-temperature resistance;

• Electronic packaging ：Welding copper foundation diamond composite material (radiation parts) and ceramic matrix composite material (insulating substrate), solve the problem of thermal expansion mismatch through nickel intermediate layer;

• New energy equipment ：Connect aluminum-based fiberglass composite material (battery shell) to stainless steel joints, adopt low current density (avoid aluminum melting) + Aluminum-copper intermediate layer achieves corrosion-resistant connection;

• Nuclear Industry ：Welded tungsten copper composite material (high temperature resistance) and zirconium alloy (radiation resistance), precisely control the temperature by energizing heating ( ≤800℃），Avoid coarse zirconium alloy grains.

Advantages

• The heat-affected zone is small (usually ＜50μm）， Suitable for heat-sensitive heterogeneous composites (such as polymer-based composites);

• High connection strength (can reach 80%-95% of the base material), and the interface has no defects such as pores, cracks, etc.;

• Connection of complex shape workpieces (such as special-shaped cross-section composite components).
